August 22nd Southern California Blending Conference:

On Saturday, August 22^nd, the churches in Southern California gathered together for a time of blending and to fellowship about the churches’ pending acquisition of the Oak Glen Christian Conference Center.

During this gathering, several coworkers spoke from various perspectives—including Brother Lee’s long-standing burden for a retreat center, the coworkers’ one accord concerning this matter, the leading brothers’ and the churches’ support for this acquisition, and the confirmation from the children and YP work concerning the desirability of this particular center.  Brother Lee’s vision for such a camp not only encompassed its use for the gathering of young people and college students in periodic retreats, but that it could be used by all the churches for the shepherding of the saints of all ages, languages, and works.
